I know I promised more photos and I actually have taken some cute ones of Addison playing in the snow, but I haven't put them on my parents computer and quite frankly I don't know that I will. Someday I will do a huge photo catch up post. Speaking of snow, I shoveled some earlier this week, will Spring ever come to Ely Nevada?
John has graduated!!! We are so proud of him and took the trip to Carson City to be with him. I of course have photos of that as well.... Unfortunately graduation doesn't mean he is done. During his first week last October they slipped it on him that after finishing POST the Highway Patrol guys get to hang around for another 2 months for specifics. Still things are moving right along and it won't be too much longer before he is all done.
In fact on April 7 I am meeting John in Vegas to start the house buying process. My college roomate Jill lives down there and her dad is a realtor so that was convenient. We have set everything up and are getting the MLS listings on email now. There really are some great homes at good prices but the purchasing process is slow. Everything is a short sale or foreclosure so you make offers and just wait around for the banks to see what they want to do. I'm still excited to get down there. We will probably get an apartment until we can get into a house. I just want to be together, I don't care if we are living in some 2 bedroom apartment.
It won't hurt to get out of Ely either. It was great that my parents would take in Addison and me, but I'm going a little crazy here. Nothing to do, and I seriously mean nothing. I rarely leave the house and it is starting to wear on me. Only 6 more weeks and I do have some trips planned so I can survive!

Yay for Graduation!! Hope you girls can keep busy til you get to Sin City...You should start doing anonymous pranks around the city to bring some excitement in your life...don't make them too exciting though or you'll end up visiting with some of John's new police buddies....
ReplyDeleteCongrats to John for finally being done! Well, almost! I'm glad you have a blog so I can keep up with you guys. Macie really misses Addison- she asks about her all the time. Next time you make it down here we should get together again. That's exciting that you guys are house hunting- what a process! Good luck with all that! The sale sign isn't up at your old house anymore- it looks like someone might be living there, but the cars look like the realitors so I'm not sure if they're just making some improvements and then trying again to sell or if someone actually bought it. Guess we'll see- hopefully it's a nice family! (There have been some scaries looking at it!) Anyway, hope all is well with you guys! Take care!
