We made it baby!

So we are here!  The move wasn't too bad thanks to a few great friends in Utah who helped us load and some great guys John went to Academy with who helped unload.  We are 98% unpacked, the remainder is John's junk that he needs to figure out.  The apartment is pretty nice, smaller than we remembered so we had to send some stuff back to Utah to store.  The weather has been unseasonably cool here.  I saw a lady in a full on coat yesterday.  Addison and I were in t-shirts and shorts.  I guess it is all perspective, 62 is still warm to me after the long miserable winter we just had.

Trooper White!

John is officially a Trooper today.  He finished all of it and did an amazing job. I am so proud of him.  I remember 7 months ago he wasn't particularly excited to go, truth be told I pulled the mean wife and made him do it.  I would like to think that he is a little grateful for that now.  It has been long in some respects, but also flown by.  I can't believe it is already over and we are moving to Vegas in a few days.  I'm excited to go.  It was finally the first beautiful spring day in Ely, and in a couple of days I will be in 100 degree weather.  I tried to make the most of my "day" of spring while packing etc.  Addison is so happy that daddy is done and doesn't have to go back to Carson City.  She is also pretty excited that our apartment complex has two pools! 

So I went to Idaho for nearly a week and the farm brought out my crafty gene.  I sewed and crafted like crazy.  All of it was for Addison's new bedroom.  We bought her a big girl bed so I made a comforter and some pillows which turned out pretty great.  When we get settled I will get some photos up.  Maybe this is a new side of me, that stay at home domestic diva girl.  Now I'm just getting carried away...
