The Greek Festival

Addison and I went to the Greek Festival last weekend. It was lots of fun and there was a ton of amazing food. I may be addicted to chocolate baklava. Addison did a pony ride and stopped by the petting zoo. The llama made her a little nervous. We definitely had fun and will go back next year.

Honestly

Why do people come to work sick? It is so annoying. I haven't accrued much sick time, so I really can't get sick. Here is my attempt at staying healthy.

4th of July

Oh yes, I am that far behind.  We went to Ely for the 4th to enjoy some cooler weather and small town fun.   We went to the duck pond which is one of Addison's favorite things to do in Ely.

We also chased a wild fire that started really close to town

We went out to Lehman Caves at Great Basin National Park and had a cool tour down there.

Ely has a couple of old trains they do rides on.  We went out to the trainyard and museum.  Next time we are going to go on the ride.

We also had a little farm visit and Addison got to run around with the goats.  

You can't have a holiday without a parade.  One float threw out popsicles, very much appreciated.  Addison scored so much candy.  She was a little timid at first, but she totally got into it.

And not to be forgotten; fireworks and sparklers!  It was a ton of fun.

Magic Mountain

It is becoming a tradition that when our friends the Z's come through we go to Magic Mountain together. This year was great. Addison was big enough to ride everything in the kiddie area. She has so much fun. She was chosen to be in the kids water show so she got to hang out with a bunch of the characters there. It was a great day!

Reunion in Idaho

We just got back from a week long trip to Idaho for a family reunion. It was a lot of fun. We had a few rainy and cold days and I wished that I had packed more than shorts. I had to go buy some pants for the girl to wear. We are just Vegas folks and pack away all the winter stuff in April. I'll do better next time. We were having so much fun that I didn't take as many photos as I should have, but here are a few.

Mandalay Bay

My friend Emily was in town with her cute boys Blake and Kyle. They were staying at Mandalay Bay so we got to have some fun over there. They have a beach with multiple pools. Swimming was great. The hotel also has an aquarium. Addison loves touching the sting rays and hermit crabs. She could have done that all day. The shark exhibit is awesome and we loved all of the other ocean animals. Definitely a fun day with great friends.

Town Square

We went to the splash park at town square to cool off. It is already in the 90's and feeling like summer.
